Hydraulic Agitation/Mixing Nozzles

Agitation nozzles are initially applied in match with injectors for aeration and ozone dosing purposes. When pressurized mix flow from injector jets through the agitation nozzle, it will draws 4~5 time volume of water around to flow and mix with it.

The process is called ”second mass transfer” which not only elevates oxygen/ozone utilization rate but also provides adequate agitation energy to maintain sludge suspension and make the flow mixing evenly with water in reservoir.

So it is highly recommended that injectors be always used in match with nozzles in aeration and ozone dosing application.

Agitation nozzle can be used separately for solo agitating purpose such as anaerobic agitation etc. Numberous cases have proved it as a high reliable and maintenance free device in wastewater treatment industry.

Function of Hydraulic Agitation Nozzles:

  • 1. To proceed further matter transfer driven by the concentration difference between mixture from the injector and water in ponds/tanks.
  • 2. To do agitation in the ponds/tanks using residue water head from the injector.

A venturi type of cylinder plus to nozzle is designed to maintain contacting time of gas in water

This configuration will have the same effect as increasing the water depth.
